How To Install Unofficial Oblivion Patch With Obmm

  1. Oblivion Official Patch
  2. Unofficial Elder Scrolls Oblivion
I downloaded Oblivion Mod Manager and the three unofficial patches...no idea what to do with them now. Internet search isn't helping much.
I was hoping to get the game working all spiffy before I try messing with anything else, but I would eventually like to improve the look of the game.
Funny thing is the older Morrowind was much easier to mod, since somebody created on giant self install mod that fixed everything up. I looked and couldn't find anything like this for Oblivion, but if it exists let me know. I prefer to keep things close to vanilla if possible unless it makes sense (like improved UI, fixed/improved mechanics etc).
Thanks.

Paste the zip file in your oblivion/obmm/mods and then open the program and click create, then double click the mofo mod zip archive file and click create omod, then double click it on the other side and if it's blue its in effect. The Unofficial Oblivion Patch, Unofficial Shivering Isles Patch and Unofficial Official Mods Patch are major mods by Quarn and Kivan that fix over 1,800 bugs (and 70,000 object placement errors) left over even after the latest official patch is applied. These fixes range in importance from trees that seem to float in the air up to conflicts that could cause the game to crash. Decompress the mods inside the 'Data' folder of the game, and then activate the mods in 'Data Files' from the launcher. Although I recommend using the program Oblivion Mod Manager to arrange properly the loading order (each official DLC followed by its unofficial patch mod and files). OBMM and Wrye Bash work well together, IF you setup and allow OBMM to control your LO versus WB. I agree with fejeena on not using OBMM to install MODs or.omod files. That tends to lead to all kinds of headaches and screwed up Oblivion builds in your earlier phases. Our wiki should be a resource that every one of our users can go to when they need help, for bugs, or mods, or anything about Oblivion. At the moment it is sorely lacking, and we'd like to remedy that.
