The following is a press release from Leapers UTG
Best bet would be a picatinny rail section and either the $$ Atlas or a LaRue with the integrated picatinny mount. I love Harris bipods but the thumbscrew to tighten the sling stud attachment is their worst feature, they always come loose. The keymod system is the what the 1913 Picatinny rail system was 20 years ago. Keymod is the future when it comes to attaching accessories. It allows similarly designed keymod lights, vertical fore grips, bi-pod apaters, etc – to attach directly to the hand guard without an additional picatinny rail section, minimizing size and weight. This is a low profile, lightweight keymod* rail for the AR-15/M16 platform. It is a free-float clamp on design that looks freaking bada$$. You get a Picatinny rail on top and 3 keymod rails on the sides/bottom. US PATENT PENDING Easy Drop-In install, no special gunsmithing involved, fits into Delta Ring and front Handguard Cap. Remove factory handguard, drop in the KeyMod handguards and use supplied screws to secure KeyMod handguard in place. Solid fit, top rail is at receiver height and you have 7 angles of KeyMod slots Black Anodized Aluminum Construction.
Leapers UTG have just released their highly anticipated Low Profile Keymod Rail Panel Covers, RB-HP25B, to the market. The heat resistant polymer Rail Panel Covers provide a nonslip tactile gripping surface providing improved firearm handling, while protecting your handguard from dings and scratches. The user-friendly “Slide and Snap” installation makes for an easy install on any standard Keymod handguard, remaining unobtrusive due to its overall low profile design.

These defining attributes of the RB-HP25B make these new Rail Panel Covers ultra reliable with just the right customizing touch. Each single cover is 5.5″ in length to complement the average size hand and to even be compatible with shorter Keymod carbine length handguards. In addition, the Rail Panel Covers are bidirectional, making it easy to install them around other accessories that may already be mounted.
A total of 7 Rail Panel Covers are included within each kit, more than enough for most Keymod handguards out there and enough to completely cover the UTG PRO Keymod Compatible Free Float handguard all the way around its circumference. Leapers UTG Rail Panel Covers are currently available in black with other colors soon to follow.
RB-HP25B MSRP: $15.97

Installing Keymod Attachment
Recently I bought a Troy 13' Alpha rail. I followed this ((http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mfYpR6TLEMI) link and everything has gone great so far. Now I need to put the Alpha rail onto the gun. I have the three retaining clamp screws and the little metal backing pieces for them (actually, they're similar to the screws for rail sections on my Magpul MOE foregrip).
I consider the instructions Troy ships with the Alpha rail to be complete fucking garbage. So my question is, how exactly does this rail 'clamp' onto my AR-15? To get it aligned properly I will use my EOTech HWS, but I guess I just don't understand how to use the three screws and their corresponding backing pieces to install this thing.
It's been a long work week and perhaps I've gone off the deep end, but any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
